Owen/Cox Dance Group stands in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. The unnecessary violence and danger that the people of Ukraine are experiencing is heartbreaking. We are directly concerned for our partners in Kyiv, Poltava and Kharkiv. The intention for the OCDG U.S. Department of State Public Diplomacy Tour has always been to spread tolerance and inclusivity along with expanding our understanding of who we are and what we can become through the healing power of the arts. We hope for a speedy return to peace for the sake of all Ukrainians.
Owen/Cox Dance Group stands in solidarity with those expressing their right to protest in Kansas City and across the country. The needless taking of black lives because of systemic racism and police brutality cause tremendous grieving throughout our organization and community. There are many ways of contributing from protesting to educating ourselves and we stand in full support of #blacklivesmatter. We remain committed to celebrating inclusion and diversity through our performances and educational programs.
