our commitment
Owen/Cox Dance Group is committed to and values diversity within our staff, Board, performers, and audience. We recognize the importance of accessibility to the arts for all people no matter their ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, cultural background, or socioeconomic status. As an organization we will strive to remove obstacles that prevent historically excluded populations from working, learning ordancing with us. We are dedicated to creating equitable and inclusive music and dance experiences for all.
Owen/Cox Dance Group stands in solidarity with those expressing their right to protest in Kansas City and across the country. The needless taking of black lives because of systemic racism and police brutality cause tremendous grieving throughout our organization and community. There are many ways of contributing from protesting to educating ourselves and we stand in full support of #blacklivesmatter. We remain committed to celebrating inclusion and diversity through our performances and educational programs.
